The 1998 Information Theory Society Paper Award is awarded to
Venkat Anantharam and Sergio Verdu for their paper
"Bits through Queues," IEEE Transactions on Information Theory,
Vol. 42, No. 1, pp. 4-18, January 1996.
The award was announced at the 1998 International Symposium on Information
Theory. More information about the authors and their award-winning paper is
scheduled to appear in an upcoming issue of the Newsletter.
