The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) in the College of Engineering (CoE) at the University of Illinois Chicago (UIC) invites applications for multiple tenured and tenure-track faculty positions at all levels.

The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) in the College of Engineering (CoE) at the University of Illinois Chicago (UIC) invites applications for multiple tenured and tenure-track faculty positions at all levels. The faculty positions start on August 16, 2022, or on a mutually agreed date thereafter. The successful candidate is expected to establish and sustain an outstanding research program, as well as be strongly committed to student success both at graduate and undergraduate levels. Priority areas include:

  • Computer engineering (including neuromorphic computing; AI hardware design; secure hardware design; edge computing; electronic design automation).
  • Quantum Information Science (including hardware and devices).
  • Electrical vehicles.
  • Artificial Intelligence (including robotics; autonomous vehicles; cyber physical systems; internet of things; and control and optimization of dynamic systems).

However, exceptional candidates in all other areas of ECE will also be considered. Candidates working on multidisciplinary research are especially encouraged to apply.
