Two-year Postdoc Opening in Communications and Coding for Channels with Memory
Two-year postdoc position at Chalmers in communications and coding for channels with memory. The project targets optical channels with burst errors. Candidates should have a PhD in error-control coding or related subjects.

The physical-layer algorithms in optical communication systems are traditionally optimized for transmitting bit streams and are not optimal for modern packet-oriented applications. The aim of this project is to bridge this gap by designing innovative coding and decoding algorithms for optical channels with burst errors, inspired by a similar paradigm shift in wireless communications. The project is led by Professor Erik Agrell (IEEE Fellow) and funded by a prestigious grant from the Swedish Research Council.

Candidates should have a PhD in error-control coding or related subjects. For more details and application instructions, see
