Assistant (Tenure Track) or Associate Professor (Tenured) Position at UC Irvine in Theory and Applications of Data-driven Systems

The Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at the University of California, Irvine invites applications for Assistant (Tenure Track) or Associate Professor (Tenured) Position. Areas include, but are not limited to, theoretical foundations and algorithms dealing with various aspects of big data broadly interpreted to include networked communication systems, distributed computing, high dimensional statistics, signal processing, scaling laws, data mining, and machine learning for high-performance and scalable computing and communication; applications include, but are not limited to, Internet-of-Things, manufacturing, smart cities and other domains.

Applicants are expected to have a doctoral degree, at the time of hire, in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or related field from an accredited university. Successful candidates will be innovative leaders that can develop a vigorous externally funded research program, maintain a strong publication record, advise students, and provide outstanding teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels.
