Vivek Goyal's research group in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Boston University seeks candidates for postdoctoral research positions. The group has at least two openings open to anyone legally permitted to work in the United States. A third opening may be limited to US citizens and permanent residents.

Position 1 : A researcher is sought for a project broadly in the area of distributed acquisition and inference systems. The work may include models of human agents and decision making.  Topics of interest include source coding, quantization, detection theory, social learning (or observational learning), and analysis of social networks. Positions 2 and 3 : Researchers are sought for projects in computational imaging involving modeling, analysis, algorithms, and proof-of-concept experiments. Experience conducting experiments in optical remote sensing or microscopy is desired but is not a requirement. Significant funds are available for capital equipment; interest in setting up laboratory space is a plus.  Multiple years of funding and flexibility in the start date are possible.  Representative works include the following:
