On May 12th, 2011, the information theory community lost one of its prominent members. Jack K. Wolf, Stephen O. Rice Professor of Magnetics at UCSD, passed away at the age of 76 in La Jolla.

We welcome researchers and graduate students to participate in NCDS and discuss about potential applications and new theories of network coding in data storage.

Dr. Norman C. Beaulieu, Professor and iCORE Research Chair in Broadband Wireless Communications at the University of Alberta was selected as Distinguished Visiting Fellow.

Abstract submission deadline for 3S Student Workshop at IEEE WiOpt'11 is extended to February 7, 2011. All students are welcome to participate the poster and elevator pitch sessions, even with their works in progress.
