Biography

Satyajit Thakor received his B.Eng. in Electronics and Telecommunication from Dr. B. A. M. University, India, in 2004. He received his M.Eng. and Ph.D. in Telecommunications in 2006 and 2012 from the School of Electrical and Information Engineering and Institute for Telecommunications Research at the University of South Australia, respectively. He was a research assistant and then a postdoctoral fellow at the Institute of Network Coding, Chinese University of Hong Kong, from 2011 to 2014. Since January 2014, he is an Assistant Professor in the School of Computing and Electrical Engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology Mandi.

Dr. Satyajit Thakor was a recipient of the Michael Miller Medal 2013 for his Ph.D. thesis and the Endeavour Research Fellowship 2009 for a research visit at the Department of Information Engineering, Chinese University of Hong Kong. His research interests include information theory, network coding, and algorithms.
