Biography

Ramji Venkataramanan is Professor of Information Engineering at the University of Cambridge, and a Staff Fellow at Trinity Hall.  He received his undergraduate degree from the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras in 2002 and the PhD in Electrical Engineering from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor in 2008. He held post-doctoral positions at Stanford University and Yale University  before joining the University of Cambridge in 2013. He is an Associate Editor of the IEEE Transactions on Information Theory, and from 2018-21, was an Associate Editor of the IEEE Transactions on Communications and a Fellow at the Alan Turing Institute.
