Biography

Ashish Khisti is an associate professor and a Canada Research Chair (Tier II) in the Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) department at the University of Toronto, Toronto, Ontario Canada. He received his BASc degree in Engineering Sciences from University of Toronto and his S.M and Ph.D. Degrees from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), Cambridge, MA, USA. His research interests span the areas of information theory, wireless physical layer security and streaming in multimedia communication systems. At the University of Toronto, he heads the signals, multimedia and security laboratory. For his graduate studies he was a recipient of the NSERC postgraduate fellowship, HP/MIT alliance fellowship, Harold H. Hazen Teaching award and the Morris Joseph Levin Masterworks award.
