Biography

Roy Timo (S’06-M’09) is a research fellow with the Institute for Telecommunications Research at the University of South Australia and a postdoctoral researcher with the Communications and Electronics Department at Telecom ParisTech. In 2014, he will join the Institute for Communications Engineering at the Technische Universität München as a Alexander von Humboldt research fellow. He was a Visiting postdoctoral research associate position with the Department of Electrical Engineering at Princeton University in 2011 and 2012.

Dr. Timo received the Bachelor of Engineering (Hons.) and Ph.D. degrees from The Australian National University in July 2005 and December 2009 respectively; he was aNICTA-enhanced Ph.D. candidate at NICTA’s Canberra Research Laboratory.  He is a member of IEEE and the IEEE Information Theory Society.
