Jointly funded through the Platform Technologies Research Institute, the first three years of this position will be research-intensive, where you will have the unique opportunity to link projects through the theoretical base of the mathematics of complexity. Research will be undertaken within the Security and Safety Program of The Institute in areas related to the mathematics of complexity, particularly in information network dynamics and/or information extraction from complex data sets.

Support an emerging, high-quality and productivity-driven research network across RMIT and with external local, national and global partners:

  • Liaise with industry and collaborate with relevant bodies

Possessing a PhD in a relevant field, you are a proven researcher who has experienced grant successes in an area relevant to the mathematics of complexity. With a strong mathematics background and track record of high quality publications, you are passionate about the discovery of large scale and complex network properties. Ideally, you may have specialised in network dynamics or mathematics, however you may also have focussed in areas such as: engineering networks, mathematical biology, computer science or statistics- whatever your passion, if you possess a critical level of mathematical competency we want to hear from you!
