A PhD scholarship is now available in the field of information theory at Universitat Pompeu Fabra, Barcelona. This position is aimed to providing a unified framework for the study of finite-length information theory.

PhD scholarship is now available  in the field of information theory. This position is aimed to providing a unified framework for the study of  finite-length information theory .

The scholarship is funded by the  European Research Council  and the  Spanish Ministry of Economy and Competitiveness  and has a duration of 4 years. Specific  research topics  include (but are not limited to) the finite-length analysis of:

  • Joint source-channel coding
  • Mismatched decoding
  • Multiple-access and broadcast techniques
