New Website Surpasses Ten Thousand Visits
As of March 21, 2009, after only 44 days since launch, the new IT Society website has received 10,028 visits from 118 countries.

This traffic represents roughly 245 visits/day with average duration of 4 min/visit from 6,270 absolute unique visitors.  The high visibility of the website makes it all the more useful for  sharing news  and  posting events .

The new website uses Google Analytics to collect a variety of statistics relating to how many people come to the site, through what means and from where, and how extensively they interact with the content. Committees and Chapters interested in utilizing this data should contact the Online Committee .

A visit or session is a period of interaction between a visitor's browser and a particular website, ending when the browser is closed or shut down, or when the user has been inactive on that site for a specified period of time.  For the purpose of Google Analytics reports, a session is considered to have ended if the user has been inactive on the site for 30 minutes.
